I should expand on my question. I had surgery in Sept. 08. My surgeon said the tendon wasn't torn, that he only had to remove scar tissue. However, I am still in pain when I walk, especially after sitting or laying down for a while. I wanted to know if this is normal.

That doesn't sound normal to me. If your tendon wasn't damaged, what caused scar tissue in the first place? Have you had previous injuries or surgeries in the area of the peroneals? I had both peroneals torn and repaired and I was 4 weeks NWB, started PT when I began weight bearing (6 weeks PT). Pretty much pain free by 12 weeks. I say pretty much because I have a lot of ongoing issues with my foot not related to peroneals. My peroneals were definitely pain free by 12 weeks.

I assume you had an MRI prior to surgery? What kind of doctor did your surgery?
