My work is sponsoring a health program where we use pedometers and earn rewards for our progress. This coming week, we're even doing a contest to see who can get the most steps in our department (for 1 week).
I've been getting many steps with my active lifestyle, but I'd like to hear about any tips any of you have for activities that require many steps. I work downtown in a city, so I have to walk from my parking space to my building, walk during my lunch break, and I work out in the evenings. I use the treadmill or elliptical machine. I also try to walk around in my building I work in a lot. So far my maximum as about 21,000 steps in a day. I did notice that my pedometer doesn't pick up all of my steps when walking on carpet, so I have to make sure to stay very active when outside!
