That depends on each individual's recovery. You'd have to talk with your doctor to get the okay. You should not do any exercising without his/her consent.

My doctor allowed me to walk (not fast) on the treadmill with no incline at 6 weeks for the first surgery and 9 for the second. I started 10 minutes at a time and gradually increased (in 5 minute intervals) as I was comfortable. I was not released to full on workout until almost 12 weeks the first time and 9 the second. So, even with the same patient, same doctor, same procedure only 1 year apart, my recovery times were different. Defiinitely check with your doctor for your individual recovery and recommendations.
