I know I've seen a thread about this before, but I can't find it. I had my big toe fused in September and it is feeling great for the most part. My problem - I can't find shoes that aren't too tight across where the plate and screws are. The only shoes I have found so far are a pair of MBT sandals that cost $250. I don't really have that kind of money to spend on more shoes. I need to start looking for a job, but a lot of places don't want you wearing open toed shoes. So I need to find something that will work. What kind of shoes do the rest of you wear? Someone mentioned before about finding someone to stretch the shoes I already have. Do people that do this have a specialized business? And what would I be looking for to find someone like this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

A shoe hospital/repair shop can stretch your shoes for you.
