Chef, Have you had any tests done? I know with cervical(neck) problems the shoulders can really hurt, also the problem can be in the shoulder itself. I have had surgery for the shoulder & neck. Although some pain & range of motion were gained through the shoulder surgery alot remained due to the problems with the discs in the neck. Its not always easy to find the problem but really if something happened in there you dont want to just let it go. Believe me it can get alot worse. You can try moist heat &/or ice to see if it will help you with the pain in the meantime along with motrin if you can take it. Believe it or not ice helped me more then anything else. Good luck, Sammy
