why did my doc ask if I have leg pain with my kidney pain?

If the kidney stone is moving, the pain can travel.

Kidney stones alone do not cause leg pain, weather or not they are moving from your kidney into your bladder. The reason she asked that, was to rule out weather you might have something more serious going on, such as a cyst or kidney infection, which would cause leg pain.
