Had 50% hearing loss both ears bc of blockages/growths closing canals. Had surgery to remove blockages, could hear almost normally within about a month after, surgeon said eardrums looked pretty normal. Hearing improved over the four months following. Now doc says my eardrums look "thick". I'm back to about 40% hearing loss both ears. She says it can take up to a year for my hearing to "stabilize". I don't understand how my hearing was so good, almost normal again, and then four months later my eardrums stop vibrating? there is no infection. Has anyone had experience with this? thanks for reading.
PS and there is no wax blockage either. Have been seeing ENT about every month.
