How long does it take for side effects to start with new medications? [Archive]

I started Prenatal vitamins on the 7th which is 2 weeks tomorrow and I am now having a metal nasty taste in my mouth. Could this be from the vitamins? If so why would it start 2 weeks later?

Out of all the people who are prescribed medication, side effects affect a small number of the patients. The idea that everyone is affected by some or all of the many possible side effects is mis-information. The majority of us get the benefit of the medications, without major side effects whatsoever. Be careful not to create side effects listed on your medications.
