Hi - just wondering if someone has any insight or experience with this drug. I have been on it for a little over a month, 30 mg a day which I take as a 15 mg dose in the morning, and then a 15 mg dose before bed. The drug seemed to be working, but the past 2 days I have been experiencing afternoon anxiety. I am wondering if this drug is more effective if taken 3 times a day instead of 2. I know alot of people take it this way. So I am thinking I should take it 3 times a day, and do 10mg each time. ??
I would ask my doctor but sometimes I think I am more informed on this drug than she is. Hearing from someone with experience with it would be helpful - thanks!

Talk to your doctor about dosing. Yes, some find it helpful to do doses 3 times a day. I've been on Buspar for six months and absolutely love this medication and its lack of side effects.

Do you mind if I ask you since you've been on it for 6 months: do you (still) get dizzy after a dose? Thats the only side effect I have encountered. About half hour after a dose, I will get very dizzy for about 20 minutes, then it passes. Also, are you still taking the same dose you took 6 months ago or did you need to up it?
Thanks!! :)

I take it with Lexapro and Diovan (BP) so difficult to know which one is causing which side effect (I take them at the same time). Yes, I get a very slight dizziness but I'm only on 7.5mg twice a day. Some "perfect" doses for others run much, much higher.
Oh and I found out that if you're having a bad episode you can take more and it takes effect in about 20 mins or so without knocking you out.
Best wishes to you! :)
