Hey, I'm Jamey and new to this site. I'm about to graduate high school. From grade seven until my freshman and sophomore years I used to wrestle, until I dislocated my left elbow. They had to put a screw in it, and since then I have not exercised much and have lost a bunch of upper body tone and muscle mass. I am naturally slender, with a BMI of 20.8. 5'5, 125 pounds. If I could remember my percent body fat, I'd tell, but that was in my freshman year :dizzy:
I need a reputable web site that gives me ideal diet and exercise routines suitable for my weight, sex, age, and lifestyle. I'm going to college for Architecture in the coming September, and life should be work, school, and free time when I get there. Currently I do not work, so it's basically school and free time.
My reasons for wanting to build and tone more muscle mass is a personal goal that I have set for myself. I plan to enjoy a life of happiness and good health, and I just feel that I am out of shape. Could anyone help me?
Also, my girlfriend has been wanting to lose weight. She is a couple inches taller than me, and her BMI is 27 with a 5'7 height and 167 pounds. She is in understanding that she wants to start exercising and lose weight, and has even approached my stepmother in hopes of starting to participate in her daily workouts. It's just that I hear from her so much that her work and school doesn't allow her to eat particularly healthy, or find the time to exercise. She has progressed in portioning her meals, and has lost some weight since her last doctors visit. She is also on the Depo shot, and I am in understanding that this can contribute to weight gain. She is getting off of it, and she was wondering if when she does, she can take advantage of the time and really start working herself out. Keep in mind that she has moderate activity-induced asthma, and too much can have her huffing and puffing in no time. Advair has helped her a lot with this problem, and she is willing to suffer some in order to help her with her self-image.
Thanks for the help in advance!

if you eat a lot of snacks and soda...get rid of them...drink water...eat smaller portions of food....i cant really give you a specific plan to lose weight but just go to a gym and lift...if you want to tone muscles do more reps and less weight...and if you want to build muscles do less reps and more weight...once you start feeling "the burn" your building muscle...
just know that males lose weight in their stomach last and their butt first...women lose weight from their breast first and their butt and thighs last...so dont try to work those areas out too much...lose weight in other places and the rest will follow
your girlfriend should do the same...i know how it is with asthma i take adviar as well and it works wonders...i used to wiegh 150 like right before i went to high school...im not saying i ate healthy...i just stopped eating candy, soda, chips, stuff like that...and like i said drink water...i dont even think i worked out but just being outside and running around and stuff...i lost 25lbs in that summer...im 20 now and still weigh the same...you just have to keep up with it...
