I had a chest cold about a month agao that poduced lots of phelgm altho i wasnt overly sick with it i ended up with another cold on top of it so i went to the hospital and they did chest xrays and the doc said it should beginnings of pneumonia in my right lung and gave me antibiotic , is it possible it could be lung cancer and not pneumonia do chest xrays accurately determine whether its pneumonia or could it be lung cancer

sometimes viral or mycoplasma pneumonia isn't real severe but while your body is going full tilt against the infection, a bacterial infection can set in and you get a double pneumonia. Physicians are trained to tell the difference in pneumonia and pneumonia. You can always get another opinion and I would suggest it if you feel uncomfortable about a diagnosis. You know your body better than anyone else.
