Hello,

My fiance and I have a happy and healthy relationship both emotionally and sexually. He noticed a bump in his pubic hair in college that may or may not have been hpv. 3 years later (while with me) the bump returned. He saw a doctor who said it could be hpv but was unsure. In any case, he removed the bump. It has not returned.

About a month later, and for the last 5 weeks, my fiance has had little bumps in his pubic hair. They begin about 4 inches below his belly button (just above where his pants sit) and end around the shaft of his penis. There are no bumps on his shaft, head or scrotum.

The bumps are very small, 2-4mm and raised. They do not itch, hurt or cause any discomfort (other than embarrassment). They are red around the base and appear to have a white head (almost like a zit). On different occassions, he and I have both tried to pop one of them.

Not sure what your question is? Are you asking if this could be HPV? Does not sound like it but a biopsy would be the only way to tell. Was this "bump" that was removed biopsied after removal? If not, why not? Perhaps your BF should go get one of these lesions cultured (for microorganisms) if they appear to be containing fluid, or biopsied and tested for HPV. That is the only way you would know. If the biopsy comes back negative and these lesions are not HPV that does not mean that you BF still couldn't have HPV. There is no test for men for HPV, nor are there many men with symptoms so women need to be very proactive.
