I am so sick and tired and frustrated! My ear is so clogged up. I am using Flonase, taking all kinds of vitamins. I tried Sudafed and hot cloths and Claritin and I even quit smoking. NOTHING HAS CHANGED. My ear and now the whole side of my face feels full and numb and some dull pain. My head feels heavy and when i walk I feel like I am not walking right. I don't know what else to do to clear my ear and head!!!! I don't have any medical coverage right now. So going to the doctor or ENT is not an option. I am so sad.

HI Larlaz
don't give up! I totally understand how you are feeling I have moments of sheer desperation and feel so depressed with the dizziness which has affected my life to the point I am frightened to go out socially for fear of having an "attack". I keep trying to tell myself that by Xmas everything will be a lot better, who knows but you have to stay postive. We are all here to support each other as best we can and having a group like this helps you to know there we are not alone! Try and keep a PMA. My ENT guy told me to try NLP, so imagine all these soldiers are marching to your bad ear with lots of antibodies to help fight the infection! Sounds insane but it does work. They aslo told me to visualise how I felt at the worst point, to put it in a picture frame and to bin it. This is kind of hard when you don't get good spells very often but keep trying! I got a steroid spray which I use daily and also use a saline spray which you can buy from the chemist and you can use as often as you want. This helps a bit in keeping your eustacian tube open. Hang in there buddy, people on this board are proof it can get better..... sending you a big smile!

How about going to the Emergency Room and your closest hospital---for care---usually they will take you if you---are "dizzy" with "balance & head" probs....they bill the State---not you.....I am assuming your in the U.S.

I am in the US and they will bill me. It is just a mater of if I would ever be able to pay back the 1000's of dollars. I feel alittle better today and I am hoping that by thinning out the mucous and PND by not smoking that it will stay out of my head and ear and sinuses! It has been almost 10 yrs since I started smoking. I can't wait to see all of the wonderful ways my body heals. Hopefully this will go away and I will re-investigate it with a good ENT when I get back to work. If it for some reason gets really bad I will go to a free clinic. Bummer to sit there all day and wait around, but it is free!
Thank you so much for your support. It is also nicotine withdrawl making me crazy....(and can cause dizziness as well!)
I will keep u posted!
