Hello,

I am new to the forum, so hello to all. My step-dad has muscular dystrophy and me and my mom are trying to see if there are any government funding or grants that anyone might know about. He was diagnosed at an early age. My mom met him over the internet and 6 years later they are married. He is an amazing person and he is such an inspiration to me and everyone else. Their insurance will not send him to therapy anymore even though its helping tremendously. Anyway.......we found this group that are going to do some construction work to the house to make things easier for him, and MD itself has help so much. As i stated were trying to see if grants are available so we can look into other alternatives. If anyone has any information i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Hello, you may want to try your local HUD office, sometimes they have info on low interest loans(of course). Sometimes you have to think out the box and call around until you find the info you need. Also ElderHomes may be helpful. Good Luck!!!
