So what do you do if you have ongoing left arm (inner) pain and heart burn symptoms. Is there a specific test to have done other than an EKG.
Thanks

Hi Jim,
As I say with other people a DR. will have you worked out with a few questions. I won't go through them all - age, blood pressure, family history, cholesterol, smoking now or sometime earlier, lifestyle. That will tell if you COULD have a problem, but not 100%. An ECG is not that informative and definitely not conclusive. He might suggest a stress test or echo cardiogram. If still not conclusive he might suggest a angiogram. This is all assuming you have undiagnosed heart disease - quite possibly you have none at all. (I am not diagnosing or suggesting anything here.) On the other hand he would probably ask about exercise, which side you sleep on, and any repetitive physical work you do which could cause it. Arthritis or repetitive strain maybe?
However because it MIGHT involve the heart best to get it checked.
