Now don't get me wrong I would love either uncoditionally if I was blessed with either, altough I have a 22 month old son and would dearly love to end the family with a girl. I have been told many methods to do this but the bit that gets me the most is the ovulating part of it. I suffer from endometriosis so my cycle is never the same each month so is hard to chart. I have an ovulation kit but to try for a girl I am told you should stop unprotected sex 2-3 days before ovulating harder to do when you don't know your cycle. My last period was on the 20th of this month does anyone else understand when is the ovualting time? :wave:

I would start testing a week after your period is over.

Opks arent going to help you in this case. They detect the LH surge that occurs between 12 to 24 hours before O. And like you have read it is better to have sex a couple of days before O to up your odds of a girl.
You are going ot have to try and chart your cycles. If you havent read the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. The author also suggests a few other books that are suppose to help you increase your odds for whichever you want.

So I understand this better if an ovulation kit tests your LH level which is 2 days before you ovulate wouldn't that be the time to try and when the LH level turns up a smiley face shouldn't that be a good time to stop? I thought as the packet says the LH level when it shows a smiley face is the 2 most fertile days to fall preggy, who would think these things would be so darn complicated!!! :confused:

This is why charting is so important. Because you get a better view of your cycle and can do gender sex timing better. You could try the stop when the OPK is + but that still leaves you really close to upping your odds of a boy.
I know it is hard with Endo to chart but I have known people to do so. So not impossible just longer to get the hang of.
