I just received my blood work results and my MCH was 33.4. I am a 52 year old female and very healthy. What could this indicate.

Also, my AST and ALT were also high.

thank you.

Each laboratory has their own reference ranges, do you have the ref range? Or do you know if this amount was high or low?

I know a higher than normal amount can mean B12 deficency. Lower might mean iron deficency or Thalassemia, an inherited blood disorder.

ALT & AST are liver enzyme tests. The liver is a cranky organ, something as simple as taking too much Tylenol that week can elevate liver enzymes.
