Hello everyone. I'm posting about my Dad, early sixties with 2 small strokes in November. Left side numbness, pins and needles, drooping in his face. He slurs when he is tired or excited. He complains about spasms in his back and arm.
He started physical therapy last week.
He quit this week.
He said it is causing him such bad spasms in his back, he was in such pain the night of his last pt that he could not sleep.
He was almost in tears.
Because I have MS, I know that there are two drugs, Baclofen and Zanaflex that are for muscle spasms.
Do any of you have experience with these drugs and might they work for him? If not, please PLEASE guide me in helping that Dad of mine, I would really appreciate it!

Baclofen and Zanaflex are both commonly prescribed for stroke patients that have spasticity. The major side effect that both cause is extreme fatigue. So be knowledgeable about the dosing
