I don't know what my problem is. All I know is that my ears start to have a mild pain after being exposed to music even at reasonable volumes for more than a few minutes. (I spent years and years listening to LOUD music. Trust me, these volumes are not loud.) Now it seems even watching movies and TV shows sets them off. Sometimes the pain goes so far as to give me a headache and a mild sick-to-the stomach feeling. My ears just feel kind of "heavy" with this mild throbbing pain. It's actually a lot worse than the feeling I used to get from going to a rock concert without earplugs. (Stupid, I know, but I was young.)
I have come to terms with my tinnitus. I hate the ringing in my ears but it's not debilitating. This constant pain in the ears is much, much worse.
Please help! Any guidance/input/feedback is greatly appreciated.

Have you had your hearing tested? I have hypercusis and recruitment, and now have a hearing aid that "compresses" non verbal sounds. It has helped immensely, and even masks the tinnitus.
I have Menieres.
