i have to get a hydrogen breath test for lactose intolerance in a few weeks. i am wondering if anyone can provide some insight on the side effects i might experience...
i am told that i will be drinking the lactose equivalent of one quart of milk. i can handle the cramps and diarrhea that will probably follow, but i have this nausea/vomiting phobia and so i am wondering if these are common side effects of the test. i don't usually get severly nauseous after consuming lactose, but i'm very nervous about the potential nausea.

If you don't normally get nauseous, you won't unless you talk yourself into it. It is generally a mental thing.

Was just wondering how your test went? Did you have any nausea/vomiting? I too have this phobia & it's awful so I understand & hope yours was fine. I have one this month.

Oh yeah, what happens to you IF you have a positive results test?
