I think I have IBS, my doc thinks so, and I am going for a barium enema next week, I was wondering in the meantime what should I try to help it, I have done some research on the web and see a bunch of different remedies. I am not sure which to try first? Any suggestions.

Here is my history.

About a year ago I had h pylori virus and suffered from nausea. Within the last few months, I have had stomach cramping, I go to the toilet, have normal bowel movements, but keep pooping and cramping gets worse, cramping keeps up I can't go anymore, then after anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours of intermittent cramping I will have diareah and I am relieved after that. So I think my problem is more of constipation because diareah relieves the problem but it takes awhile to get to that point. Also I get very bloated and full after eating and sometimes still suffer from nausea...

Any ideas??

If your Doctor is saying that he thinks you have IBS then you probably have IBS.
The Barrium test is probably being done to rule out a disease process or structural problem which would put your Irritable bowel in another category like Irritable Bowel DISEASE.
IBS is a syndrome. There is no one test that proves it's existence.
What has your doctor suggested for a remedy?
There are a lot of good medicines to help get the whole IBS problem undercontrol. The good ones need to be prescribed by your doctor.
To help to keep yourself from suffering while awating diagnosis you could probably try limiting your diet to easy bland foods with little to no grease.
Definately, begin cleaning up your diet eliminating excess sugars, fried foods and dairy products except for plain no fat live active culture yogurt which actually helps either a constipation or diarreah prone problem.
