This sorta sounds like Gastitis-- inflamation of the stomach. The treatment is usually a PPI like Prilosec.

Please consider trying a product called Primal Defense. It is not a drug but a probiotic and will really help with the digestive problems, possibly the IBS itself, and it will help to heal your colon and your health in general. It is available at any Vitamin Shoppe or at Primaldefense.net. I have experienced tremendous benefit from it.

Also please consider seeing if you have any food allergies which are aggravating the bowel and causing the inflammation. The best thing you could do would be to avoid all commonly known food allergens like gluten (wheat, barley, oats, rye), corn, soy, and diary for at least a week and see how you feel. Then, reintroduce them back into you diet one by one and see what reactions your body has. This will help you determine quite a bit.

The amino acid L-glutamine is also healing for the bowel, as are onions and garlic.

You can become healthy again, but it will take some work. Don't take any more medications, they will only hurt the condition inthe long run because they only treat symptoms and mask the real source of the trouble.
