Please Help!! I had hemmoroidal surgery on March 21st, and since, I have not had a solid BM , my BMs are very soft, thin and runny. Is this part of the healing process? I'm afraid I have something else wrong with me.My opening is shrinking. Is there someone out there going through the same thing?

Greetings jmat.
I have had surgery myself with complications. I received an infection and was on I.V. anti-biotics for two weeks. My stools have never been the same. My doctor said the anti-biotics were the cause of my diarrhea. Then I was supposed to have another infection that was causing it and took oral anti-biotics as a remedy. Suffice it to say this was a long time ago and after many tests I was diagnosed with IBS. The surgical trauma supposedly triggered the IBS. I have not responded to medicine but watch my diet so as not to aggravate the situation. No beer, soft drinks, beans, cabbage, oranges, etc. I can't say you are going through the same thing I am but try to eliminate natural laxatives and gas producing foods and take a bulk forming fiber supplement. Let me know what happens. Peace.
