I have to give credit to all of those dealing with Fibro. I must however give an Huge amount of credit and support to my wife. She was diagnosed about 1 1/2 years ago. However, she says "ihave Fibro, it doesn't have me." I have always supported, comforted and cared for her. I have Chronic Back pain, and am going through pain management, and you can tell when i am in pain. My wife does not let it show to other people, especially at work.

I really am writing this because on Friday she woke up unable to lift her right arm, and as she came out of the showeer she was in tears, for the fist time in a long time. I helped her get dressed for work, as i could not talk her out of it. I did however talk her into seeing our GP even though she has an appoinment on Moday with her Rehumitologist. She toughed it out at work. I know i wouldn't be able to.

I am smazed every day by her and how she deals with it. I can tell you she absolutely hates having Fibro as i am sure everyone does. Yet, she functions daily with a smile on her face, i know those days where it is BAD, and usually get her to slow down and rest, or "STOP and get your butt on the couch." She is my HERO and i wanted to let everyone know.

Sorry it's long.

welcome to the boards fastbreak,
giggle fastbreaks are my favorite candy bar. i remember saying those same words you wife has. good for her. my smile and my joy are my tools for life. illness is not guiding me. we walk together. tell her i am proud of her too. i know the effort required to force oneself to just go do it. i understand why she does it too. cause she can!!
sending warm hugs for both of you. a standing ovation for your wife. well done sister!!!
peace,

She had tears in her eyes at work today when she read my post. Although i have told her she was my hero on many occasions, seeing it in words hit home for her. Fibro affects more than just those afflicted, it affects those around you. My wife has all the support she needs from myself and our 2 children. She thanks you for your kind words.

please tell her she is most welcome. we know the superhuman effort it takes just to do "normal". riverside. grew up in the valley. bet it is alot bigger than it was in the 70's. just taking in where you live i must say, wow, way to go sister!!!
support is everything with any illness. methinks you and your children have been gifted with that rarest of all gifts, compassion.
peace,

She sounds like a real trooper bless her heart, but I think she's very fortunate to have your support, we all aren't that lucky. My best wishes to you both.
