I have widespread pain from my fibro and back and knee problems, but I can deal with it during the day if I don't overdo. At night, however, it has become impossible to sleep (even with meds) because of the extreme pain. I even get stomach pain. My entire body hurts and I get sharp stabbing pains. My sides and abdominal area ache and burn.

I don't understand why this gets so bad. I thought it was my bed, which was old, so we got a new mattress, but it's the same. I get up and walk around, get ice packs or a heating pad but I am crying in pain all night. Usually I don't get to sleep until about 5 am, if at all. My husband gets annoyed and I keep him up.

I told my doctor and he just says I'm too anxious about the pain and gave me Xanax, which helped at first but not now. What can I do?

I feel so bad for you. My doctor has given me sleeping pills along with my other meds. My stomach was burning also and going into my back when I lay down. My Motrin was bothering my stomach. I can't take anything stronger. He gave me previcid for the stomach. I hope you can get some help, I don't know if you tried this but I also use a heating pad. Good luck.
