i am a 36 years old and have been trying to concieve for two years now. a little about myself. i had a myomectomy in 2005 and two months later i was pregnant i gave birth to my son at 34 weeks via c-section. we did not want to wait to long after to get pregnant again and started tring to no sucess. would like to have a sibling for my soon to be three year old son. i saw on the news that a 55 year old woman gave birth to twins. it seems that she went to india and had invitro fertilisation. this is something that i myself am seriously considering. looking for a reasonable priced ivf clinic in the usa is crazy. here we are both hard working people ina a good relationship and there is no help for people like us, but they let a woman who already has six children, two of them are disabled continue to get invitro. where did she get the money for it. i feel so bad for the other children. it is her body and she is entitled to do what every she wants with it, i am venting pardon me have patience with me.

Have you had your DH's sperm tested? That's at least easy to check. There are other things a lot less expensive than invitro that could help too, depending on your fertility levels. I saw an infertility specialist after 8 months of trying and being over 35, but got pregnant on our own after seeing her the first month for diagnostic testing. If you can find a good OB that would do some initial testing for you, that might be good and cheaper too. Good luck finding someone affordable. I would try to stay in the US. It may not even come down to invitro for you and going to another country could possibly be dangerous for your health.
