i use to be on the shot it has been a year now why can't i get pregnant

i have a friend. she has three children close in age. then she had a fourth three years later. she was on the shot for one year after fgiving birth to her fourth and was not using protection she could not get pregnant again. then four years later bam pregnant with a baby girl. the shot is really powerful.

I have told my story many times on here and that of several friends. The Depo shot is one form of BC that should be taken off the market. I actually cheered the day it was black labeled.
If you look at my sig you will see that my first DS and my second DS are a couple of years apart in age. That wasnt on purpose. I had my first shot July 22,1996 and my last was Oct 22,1996. I didnt get pregnant with my second DS til Feb of 2000. A friend of mine has two kids that are almost 9 yrs apart thanks to Depo. I can go on and on about women who either dont have kids or have kids several years apart because of Depo.
I strongly suggest the book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility. Chart at least three cycles and then go see your dr. Explain that you were on Depo for a year and show him/her your charts. The reason I say do the charts is so s/he can see your cycles. This will help narrow down time windows for certain tests that are time sensitive. It should also help avoid some tests that you might not need.
