There is no deffinate time period, Personaly I have had kidney stones 4 times, and each time they have never taken more then a day or two to pass. I know people who have taken a week though. You just have to wait it out, unless the doctor see's that its too big in which case you would get it either surgically removed, or put into this strange vibration bath where it breaks it up into smaller passable pieces.
