I used to have constant sinus congestion, post-nasal drip, and constant ear infections. Antibiotics didn't help. Only steroids did, and I didn't want to take those for a lifetime!

Long story short: I stopped consuming dairy products, especially milk and ice cream. I stopped eating ice-cold foods and drinking cold drinks (chilled drinks are OK, but not iced ones). I stopped drinking most fruit juice, especially orange juice. I cut down on sugar. I started taking lots of Vitamin C. My congestion and ear infections went away.

I still might get a touch of the flu or a mild cold, but it never goes to my ears anymore, or my lungs for that matter.

This won't be a cure for everyone, but please try these things before you get yourself hooked on allergy medicine forever!!

Exactly!

I stopped eating dairy, except once in a while; I have some feta or blue cheese on a salad, and one small yogurt per month. I soon noticed much relief, but it wasn’t until I quit eating grains that I became a new man.

For other reasons I tried out the Paleolithic Diet, which states that the only foods that I eat are foods that can be eaten raw. They don't necessarily need to be eaten raw, but if they need to be cooked, then I ignore them. When I finally gave up the rice my sinuses completely cleared up. Before that, the doctors wanted to do some surgery so I could pop my ears. Now, the ears pop all by themselves. In addition, I am just naturally losing my gut.
