Does anyone know if Zanaflex can effect the sleep Study. I had 3 sleep studies and an MSLT and during them I only had a tiny bit of REM sleep at the very end of one of the night sleep studies. The doctor did not have me stop taking any of my medications for the sleep studies.

I have been having 75-110 microsleep episodes at work during the day and automatic behavior at work and while driving. She also said I have cataplexy. She ended up diagnosing me with upper airway breathing disorder and hypersomnia. During the MSLT I fell asleep very quickly each time but never went into rem sleep but I am wondering if the Zanaflex might be the reason.

She has ordered a blood test but I haven't gotten the results back yet for the narcolepsy marker blood test.

I just wondered about taking medication during the sleep study.
