Has anyone heard if IBS being worsened by menopause, lately my periods have been irregular and the ibs is raging(diarrhea). ALSO, does anybody feel the IBS is like resetting a clock, sometimes you can (by using imodium, equalatin, eating rice, citracil, caltrate, and deep breaths or whatever--all in some miracle formula that works)-- and do pretty well for months, then BOOM it hits for months,(stress and/or some food or drink combo) nothing you do will stop it?

Hi gurggles,
I can't really relate to the menopause but I believe IBS does worsen during women's periods - at least a lot of women have reported this. (I'm a guy).
I can relate to having a "miracle formula" and then having things change on me for a long period of time causing things to revert to what is "normal" for an IBS patient.
Cheers, Raju.
