Does anybody have a lot of undigested food and water in their BM's? First thier stomach gurggles loud like a water fall churning around, then gas, then the diarrhea hits?

I have been going through this on and off for 12 years. I try to think things are getting normal, then I eat any and everything and it gets worse. If I make my mind up and eat rice & chicken & rice & chicken & rice & rice, and take imodium, equalactin, and citrecil(sp)and try to decompress(for several days), it might straighten out for a while. Then Boom, usually stress brings it on full blown, like this stuff isn't stressful. It is almost like I can tolerate things I eat for a while then the scales tip and I can't get reset without the diarrhea(and usually I am finding alcohol is a real "trigger" too). Go to a wedding or party, have a few drinks or wine and i'm messed up for a while. It seems that usually this stuff goes in about two month cycles for me, good then bad, then really bad. Makes me nuts!

YOu both might want to check out "celiac sprue"....gluten intolerance (wheat). Gluten is in so many products......including many alcohols. YOu really have to read labels carefully. Janetto

With celiac wouldn't this be all the time that gluten effected someone, not in spurts?

I have this all the time it is worse when I am nervous. I don't have a clue what causes it but I do not eat very much wheat at all. I am basically on a meat diet directed by my doctor.

Chicken and fish are the best but also some red meat since my in laws raise their own beef and we get our beef from them. It also helps me if I drink distilled water I know yuck I thought it too when I first started drinking it but it helps.
