Has anyone have any information on these two commerically produced substances. Do these substances contain wheat or a grain derivative?

Sponsor Janik 08-11-2003, 07:28 PM Most food starches come from grains such as corn or wheat. Hydrolyzed vegetable protein comes from soybeans, thoug occasionally from wheat gluten. Frustrated1 08-11-2003, 08:21 PM In reading the labels, It is very difficult to determine if the starch is made from wheat or corn. I wonder if enough is in a particular food to cause an IBS-D. For those who are wheat sensitive, my theroy is that this should be avoided altogether to protect your system Frustrated1 08-22-2003, 04:15 PM OK, this is more confusion, I just ate some soup and then experienced a mildly intense IBS-episode. The broth was canned broth and it contained both MSG and hydrolysed soy protein. Could these ingrediants caused this problems? |
