In my child/teenage yrs, I ate very little fruit/vegies, alot of junk food and not much water either and I never had bad constipation. I'm an adult now and I've tried to get on a more healthier diet with more fibre as I've had hammeroid problems the past 2 years. (Only in summer season) Anyway, the doctor advised me to have more fibre in my diet which I did straight away.
I had plenty of water, around 2.5 litres and I had severe constipation.
The first time I added more fibre wasn't bad but still had trouble going to the toilet.
Recently, I tried the diet again, with more water, but this time was severe constipation. Very awful.
So I don't know what's going on. I've been drinking 2.5 litres everday, about 10-15g of fiber and I'm having no problems anymore.
Why is it when I was younger, I mainly ate junk food, drank little water, yet constipation was not an issue. Now, as an adult, more fibre, more water, severe constipation :confused:
