Hi! First time poster on here...
I stopped taking birth control 3 months ago. My period was due to arrive Monday at the latest, from my calculations. I used to start on Saturdays when I was on the pill, but moved to Monday after ceasing the pill, for some reason. So, today is Wednesday and no sign of AF. I have had some cramping and I have thought it was coming on endlessly for the last 2 days, but still nothing, not even the teeniest bit.
In addition, I have been soooo tired and sooo thirsty the last week or so. I thought (and still might) that I was getting the flu or a sinus infection because all I want to do is sleep. I can sleep a 8 hour night and then need a 2 hour nap during the day, and this is NOT normal for me. Also, I can't seem to get enough to drink, so obviously I am going to the bathroom more often, but that is a product of the thirstiness.
I don't have sore boobs, have been having crampy feels that go from "eh" to "OW!" on and off for 5-6 days now, and I don't notice that I am wanting or avoiding certain foods or that certain smells are setting me off.
This would be our 3rd child, but the first time was a surprise and as much as I thought I remembered every detail of the 2nd, I obviously don't because I don't know what symptoms I had early on, other than tiredness, and I never had morning sickness with either, so that wouldn't be a likely symptom for me anyway....
I do know that with the 2nd I missed a period and took a test the next morning and it was positive after about 5 seconds...I haven't braved a test this time because I am so certain that AF is on her way (darn her!)....its just a culmination of weirdness.
Thoughts??
Should I bite the bullet and take a test? I am not even sure if its too early or what?
Oh yeah, an addendum- I am not charting or anything like that, we are just kinda taking the "what happens, happens" approach and if I get pregnant, cool and if not, cool, haha...but anyway, I did an online calculator to see days of ovulation and we probably had sex once, maybe during the supposed estimated time of ovualation.
And I know that no message board can tell me the real answer, just kinda freaking out here... :)
Thanks!

I would say to go ahead and take a test. Its really the only way to know for sure or not. You know aside from going to the doctor and them doing the same thing. lol. Good luck
