Hi,

I think so. Things sometimes go in cycles and go into a remission type phase for some of us. I ache today, but it's nothing I feel the need to take medication to handle. Everyone's different.

I agree with DeBeachSiren. You have to remember to, that what one person considers severe, the next person may not.

Thanks for the replies,

I've has a mystery illness for about 6 years now and my new doctor thinks it might be Fibro. I'm not overly confident in his decision but at this point i'm willing to venture anything!

I questioned this as my ex-boyfriend's mother had Fibro and she was in serious pain a lot of the time! I felt so bad for her!

My bones creek/clunk and joints get a bit stiff and achy but i thought it was just old age setting in. My doctor says that can't be as i am only 25yrs old.

I have a monster roster of symptoms! After reading a lot of posts in here i'm kind of freaked out that i may actually have Fibro.

I've had many many symptoms listed for fibro for many years, but they were not really that bothersome, and none of them were particularly "painful". It wasn't until after I had surgery (a hysterectomy) that I suddenly was in excruciating pain at some times, other times it was like I had a flu that wouldn't go away. You know, the achey muscles, lack of energy, stuff like that. Some days would be ok, some would be terrible. I went to the doctor several times and he just told me it was because I hadn't fully healed from surgery. I went in 6 weeks after my surgery, when I should have been fully healed from surgery and told him that there was something seriously wrong that I wasn't getting any better. He suggested it might be fibro, and honestly, I'd heard of it but didn't know anything about it. He did the trigger point/ tender point test and I had 12 of 18 tender points. He sent me to a specialist in their office that knows more about fibro and he tested me, and when he did it I had 15 tender points. Now my two doctors are working together to find the right treatment plan for me, but everyone is different. That's just it.... everyone is different. If you do have fibro, know that everyone experiences pain and other symptoms differently.

Hi there. I agree with the others. There are times when I don't have as much pain, so I can convince myself that I have been misdiagnosed. Then I'll have a flare-up. But fibro does seem different for everyone. Best wishes and please let us know how it goes!
