...My ears have been 'stopped up'..'Fluttering'..feel 'Pressure' all my life it seems..
Soooo, I made a appointment to see a Hearing Specialist, yay me:D
He checks my ears and say's I have an inflamed eardrum and water in my left ear..gives me meds..tells me to come back in 2 weeks..
I went back on Tuesday (2 weeks was up)..
I was given a Hearing Test and was told that I have 'mild' hearing loss...okay, I can deal with that..that was something I seemed to know anyway..
THEN the Doc pulls out some sort of Ball and starts blowing short fast blasts of air in my ears.....he said that my Ear Drums were hard and the blasts of air would soften them up...yay me again..:D...I won't have anymore problems....so I think...
I came home and towards the evening my ears started hurting so bad..they STILL hurt..and my Ear Drums feel SORE so I don't dare touch my ears...I'm to scared of the pain.
Now I go back in 2 weeks to get checked again!
Doctor said that I had air trapped in my eustasian(sp) tubes and I/we have to get it out...TRAPPED AIR IN MY EARS? so I have to hold my nose, hold my breath and breath real hard with my cheeks puffed out 4-5 times each evening...I get the popping, pressure going and I think I'm okay and the pressure builds right back up...stomping around...MAD MAD MAD...
So I'm taking Allergy Meds and I
ll see him and wonder what will happen then..
Bad Luck? or No Luck at all...Sheesh...this has got to stop...HUH? I CAN'T HEAR YOU...Whatdja say?:D
Be Well All and (((Gentle Hugs comin' your way)))

First, I really hope that you are able to get your ears straightened out as soon as possible for you. Ear pain just sucks!
You mentioned bad luck? My GP always tells me, "if were'nt for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all!"
That pretty much sums it up, huh? Take care. Have you ever tried a heating pad on your ears? When I was pregnant, I had horrible infections and I used the heating pad and it made them feel SOOOO much better.

I'm so sorry your having trouble with your ears. A month ago I had pain in my ears. It only lasted 5 seconds and went away. Is this what you experience?

Hi Chily and Snow...My ears have been 'stopped-up' or 'Fluttering' or feels 'Full' and I have to almost read lips to understand OR when someone is talking to me all I hear is gibberish...and I just nod my head in response.
This has been happening for YEARS...at first I thought it was allergies but no med would help and I'd sleep for weeks at a time (side effect was drowiness).
Now my ENT Dr. say's AIR is trapped in my eustasian tubes...how does air get trapped? I don't have earwax..I know we can get water trapped but air?
What made my ears really hurt bad was when the Doctor started pumping air in short hard bursts to 'soften' my eardrums..THAT was when the pain started and they're still painful.
Why would he tell me I had Air trapped in my Tubes, then send short hard blasts in my ear? I would think that the air he's blasting in my ears would get trapped too...
I hope he doesn't hit me up with the 'you need Tubes inserted'...crazy stuff for sure..

I have pain in my right ear, I've had it for over 11yrs. It comes and goes but now its been staying....my nose is either runny or stuffy AND the side of my neck where my painful ear is hurts. From my throat to that ear....very strange.
My dr felt around on it and said it is probably my sinuses!
