I was helping my mom put on the mattress on the bed in the bedroom she was putting on a mattress mad. the first time we just slid the mattress off the bed then when we put the mattress back on we tried lifting it she wanted it on a certain side and said well this is not going to work so we just slid it. Last night the back of my calves started hurting today ouch. It hurts to walk. Has this happened to anyone? I would think my back and arms would of hurt more They do hurt a bit but not like my legs. Although I think I tossed and turned a lot while I was sleeping last night. And they say any excessive exercise etc can make your fibro worse!

no it just feels like a muscle ache or pull. Like I said I was lifting a mattress.

Isn't amazing what muscles we end using when we don't think we will? I hope you feel better soon!

Seriously. You can have fibro pain in amazing different places. My legs are one of my worse places as I can have such a large variety of symptoms in them. From throbbing, to burning, to feeling numb (yet still feeling pain) and not limited to severe weakness and just plain pain.

There are very few ways outside of pain killers to avoid this pain enough to cope daily. But I did get a stepper so I can work them at my leisure and along with the pain killers I have the ability to build them up, albeit slowly, to the point where I can walk around basic needs in my life without being crippled and stopped by it.

It is amazing what muscles we use but don't even realize it. Like the other day, I was walking around the grocery store. I was expecting my legs and my lower back to hurt the next day. The funny part is that the next day my legs felt fine, but my lower back and my butt hurt. I was surprised to have pain in my butt, but my husband had a hayday making jokes about that! I'm not entirely sure why my butt hurt, but it had to have been from going to the store and walking around there. Don't know, but it really is amazing how different muscle groups do things together, or even outsource to other muscle groups when things go haywire. I hope you start feeling better.

No, legs are serious problems for a lot of sufferers of FMS and even though sometimes when it seems other things should hurt. It goes to the legs a lot. Legs, thighs, ankles doing things like burning, throbbing, pulling or even some odd numbness are likely signs that the FMS has settled in the legs for you this time. It can also settle in other general areas of the body like shoulders and wrist, lower and upper back. All depends on the day Im having usually.
