I have been on the Patch for nearly 4 years now,and after my last period on it, my husband and I decided that I would stop using, and let nature take its course and possibly have a baby. I wouldnt say we have necessarily been "trying" but we do want a baby, and its one of those things where if it happens, great, and if not, well it just isnt meant to be. (we already have 3 children, 2 are his, and 1 is mine.)
My question is, has anyone had any experience trying to get pregnant after stopping the patch? How long did it take?
And is there a period of time after stopping that I should expect my body to start doing all the normal things again.....?
Ive always had regular periods, 28 day cycles, and the only time I ever missed was when I was pregnant with my daughter....as a matter of fact, she was conceived DURING my period (Sorry if that's too much info!) So I certainly did not have any trouble getting pregnant the first time....but since then, Ive had a colposcopy and a cryo (Cancer runs in my family, so we had a bit of a scare!)...and I also delivered my daughter via emergency c-section.
Does anyone know if any of this could play into conceiving or if it could mean some problems do to scarring?
Ive done a little internet searching but cant seem to find anything that gives me the answers to the exact questions I have.
Anything you can share, experiences or advice, would be helpful!
