I got diagnosed with HSV2 10 years ago. When I first got it, I did not have bad outbreaks and only probably 3 a year. In the last 2-3 years, I have outbreaks in more places and every 4-6 weeks. I tried suppressive therapy (valtrex) taking it everyday. My diet hasn't changed really, I was a smoker and gave it up for 2 years and then started again 1 year ago.
