I broke my shoulder a year ago. Two weeks ago I had surgery to fix it because it never healed correctly. I found out that when I broke the head of my humerus (in three spots), my rotator cuff got pinched into one of the fracture points. As the bone healed, it grew over the now pinched rotator cuff. This caused limited motion and popping and clicking.
Two weeks after surgery I am already seeing amazing progress.
I do have one issue that worries me. When I am standing up and raise my arms to the side, my injured shoulder raises up much higher than the other shoulder.
Has anybody else had this happen? Does the shoulder eventually drop back down into a normal position? I was told this should occur with physical therapy, but I already have most of my motion back, and the raised shoulder hasn't dropped at all.
Again, this happens when I am standing and raise my arms into the T position, straight out at my sides.
