ok i've had a boyfroend for 3 years im 18. @ 16 i had sexual intercorse with my partner. then a few mounths later i had to go to the emergency room and they said they think i have herpes so they gave me valtrex and i got cured. but after that time i never had another out break and its been 2 years after that insident. && i never got blood teasted. i also have researched that you get an outbrake after a few mounths or in a year but its been two years and nothing. Do you think those doctors who attended me n observed me predicted wronge?

If you do have herpes it does not 'get cured'. You have it for life. When you went to the emergency room, did they take a swab and 'type' it? Do you know whether you have type 1 or type 2 herpes? If the answer is no, then you should go to your doctor/gyno and ask them to do a 'type specific IgG blood test' for BOTH HSV1 and HSV2. HerpeSelect is the most common 'brand' here in the United States.
It could be that you have type 1 (typically oral cold sores) on your genitals from oral sex. Do you know if that partner you were with ever had cold sores on his lips? Type 1 on the genitals is said to be milder and cause less frequent reoccurances down the line. But you should know which type you have.
And know that you can still pass it on to another partner even when you are not having outbreaks.
