My daughter borrowed a pair of shorts (soiled) from a friend to wear as underwear. The friend just told her that she has herpes and my daughter is distraught.
Can you catch the herpes virus from soiled clothing such as shorts (the other girl was wearing underwear with the shorts) but my daughter used the shorts as underwear.??
Thank you

You have nothing to worry about. Herpes is passed by skin to skin rubbing. The virus does not live on inanimate objects (on clothes, door knobs, toilet seats)

if the clothes are moist enough with a good deal of virus load and with enough friction.lots of variabilities to be considered here.hope ur daughter is doing fine.dnt worry!
