Hey everyone! I am in dire need of some guidance. A little history: Since I can remember (3rd grade) I've been getting mouth cold sores (HERPES). I am 29 yrs old and STILL VERY VERY frequently get outbreaks. So much so, that I would say that I get, on average 3-4 per month, and usually at least 2 at any given time! I am at my wits ends and I don't know what to do. My question is. WHAT KIND OF DOCTOR would specialize in patients who get re-accuring oral herpes outbreaks often? You'd think there would be a VIROLOGIST doctor or something (not even sure there is such a doctor). I feel like a primary doc wouldn't know the depth of this virus. I think there is MUCH more going on in my body and that I have some auto immune diease. Does anyone what kind of doctor to call to make an appointment with? I need answers!!!!!
