Thank you for your advice on cbt. I went to the local library and found a book on this subject called "change your thinking" by Dr sarah edelman. I truly feel that the information in this book will definitely help me deal with the anger, frustration, and negative emotions that come with living with this illness. I have never heard of cbt before but it certainly did explain why i sometimes behave the way i do. Its not easy living with this illness, the journey is constant, so i appreciate all and any helpful advice.

I'm glad I could help! Yes, living with BP can be very frustrating, so it's good to have coping mechanisms in place to help keep you grounded so that you look at situations realistically. I've been in therapy (CBT) for the past 1.5 years and have found it to be of great help in allowing me to deal with my rapid cycling, relationships with family and friends as well as learning more about this illness. I wish you all the best with your therapy and hope it brings you much success!
