So far I have some success with decreasing my general dizziness with the Antivert I started last Wednesday. My dizziness was never constant, just would last less than 10 seconds and would come and go throughout the day.

The first few days, I noticed a decrease in "episodes" and they would come on mostly at night when I was tired. Well, I just realized now that I haven't had any episodes at all today. I was critical about the medicine since I haven't heard many people have much success, but I thought it couldn't hurt to give it a try.

So whether it's the medication or just a coincidence that that symptom has decreased, I'll take it. :)

I'm glad you're getting some relief from the dizziness! I used meclazine (OTC, but you have to ask the pharmacist for it) it's the same active ingredient in Anti-vert. Might be cheaper!

Sunshine-Yes, the pharmacist told me that I could also get to OTC. In fact, there was an issue with the script and he told me if I wanted to start while they sorted it out to get Dramamine. At least with my medication plan, it is much cheaper to use the prescription. It was something like $3.50 for 8 pills and I can get a month's supply for $7.00 when I get the script filled.

You can also buy it just as meclazine (not the brand name Dramamine) it's about $9-$10, 100 count 25 mg tablets (they also have 12.5 mg tabs). It's not on the shelf, you have to ask the pharmacist for it-
