Hello,

I am about 2 weeks smoke free (with one slip up, so I've had one in two weeks), coming off a 10-15 per day habit. I know smoking can CAUSE heart palpitations, but has anyone had them after quitting cold turkey? I am not on a patch or gum or meds. Just wondering :)

I have only been quit for 8 days using patches but I'm having heart palpatations like crazy. I'm interested in this answer also.

Interesting! I have had little ones in the past, no biggie. But since I really quit smoking they have been really bad. When I went to the doctor he just said that I'm defniitely still "coming off" the nicotine. I just wonder how many of us have gone through this!

Quitting is incredibly hard, I had the flu so that made it easier to not smoke for a week, I couldn't get out of bed. Now that I'm back up and running its getting a little harder. But these heart palpitations are scaring me from even smoking so I guess thats a good thing!

Same thing happening here. I am just over a month being smoke free, but I have had some very scary ones, especially at night when I am in bed. (Maybe I just notice them more???). I am still using patches, though not very regularly... I have a docotrs appointment in a couple days for another matter. I will ask him about it, and let you guys know what I find out.
