Hello,

I usually have a some vodka at night and it supressess by appettite for some reason. I know alchohol is not good for you but can you diet and lose weight this way. How many calories are in a shot of Vodka. I am just curios in regard to this?

I do not recomend it alcohol has a lot of calories and it is bad for your liver. There are so many healthier ways to loose weight.

This may SOUND like a good idea, but I agree that alcohol calories can add up quickly, so it's not something you want to do every day or anything. The shot itself should probably have 100 calories or less (of course before any mixers). Just keep in mind that alcohol will make you gain some water weight since it dehydrates you, so even if you are eating less at the time, you may temporarily be gaining weight from holding in more water.

A friend of mine lost 100 pounds once by staying drunk all the time and never eating. I wouldn't recommend it, though. You are trading one addiction for another.
