Hey all,

I have been quit smoking for 8 days after 15yrs. of smoking 40 cigs a day. I unfortunately didn't have an option to not quit. My lungs are kaput and was just diagnosed with severe asthma. One of the things that I have noticed is that my skin is so different since I quit. I typically have very dry skin on my face and my pours were large. Since I quit, my skin has been so oily and my pours have tightened up. Not that I'm complaining. My skin is more even and has a glow about it since quitting but the oily-ness is wierd. It is like my body is trying push all of the smoking crap out of my skin. Anyone else experience this? A fellow I know who quit in the 70's said that he took 3 showers a day for a long time because nicotine comes out of the body through the skin. Just a wierd tidbit I thought was interesting.

Thanks
Tanya
