I started taking Tri-Sprintec right after my period last month and I'm at the end of my first pack. The white pills are the inactive pills, correct? So in theory I should have started my period on the first white-pill Sunday. However, it is now Wednesday evening and I still have not had it. I'm pretty sure that the time between my periods before starting the pill were a bit longer than average. My boyfriend and I have only had sex once and it was the Sunday I should have gotten my period and we used a condom, still we messed around earlier in the month (no intercourse) and we could have been more careful then so I realize the risk is there.
So my questions are
- Is it normal to have late periods when you first start Tri-Sprintec?
-How long should I wait before I become concerned about a possible pregnancy?
-Are pregnancy test's accuracy affected by taking birth control?

I first started taking birth control the Sunday after my period started. I didn't start my period until the Wednesday of the week I was on the inactive pills. My periods were all out of wack before I started taking the pill, but now they are right on schedule. My doctor said that it might take a few months for the pill to regulate everything.
